Just remember, I'm West Coast and generally lazy, so it could happen at any point in the day since I'll most likely be sleeping through most of your mornings. (sadly true)

I hit the publish button over at Amazon this morning! I’ll do the same for the Nook shortly, and both should be up sometime today or this weekend. Amazon seems to load just a little quicker and mobile users usually get the book to show first.

Ahhh! Not only does VEX come out in November, but INHERTIANCE by Christopher Paloni (which I've been waiting on for years) comes out at the beginning of the month! Plus HOLLOWMEN by Amanda Hocking, AND Thanksgiving! It's gonna be tough, but I will persevere! I will defineitly be needing my writing buddies to help me, though! Hahaha.

Haha! That's what my mom said! I woke up at 3:30 this morning thinking of Nano strategies, and ideas for my book. Needless to say, I'm super excited!
I can't believe it's less than two weeks until Nov!! Def have to get my outline done!! Where the heck are the days going? This whole working deal isn't giving me much time! ;) haha

EIGHT days ladies, & gents! *breathes into paper bag*
Don't remind me lol. I'm shaking in my boots (and yes, it is already cold enough here in NYC to pull out the UGGs lol) as I work on my outline. At first it sounded like fun, but once I discovered "Water For Elephants" and "The Night Circus" came out of it, the air in the room got really really heavy lol.
I guess I'm just experiencing the normal NaNoWriMo newbie jitters lol. Is it normal to feel like your novel is probably going to crash & burn?
Heather - EIGHT DAYS!!!!!!!! I'm more scared than I am excited. *sigh* I'd better stock up on provisions, i.e. stock up on Halloween candy while it's still floating around.
Amber J. - Wow, I didn't know those books were born from Nano! See? NaNo has potential for awesome. Be not afraid Amber! Pull out those notepads, those post its, sharpen those pencils and keep the laptop charged, it's almost upon us!! I might need to do a NaNo post. ;)
I've been so busy, I haven't even started outlining yet! I've got it all in my head, though. I just hope it doesn't suck once I get it on paper!
Logan, I have a super rough outline myself. I sort of like to leave some room to pants it. But I do need to know beginning, middle and end, sort of like a loose road map. And don't worry if you don't like the first draft! What important is if you like it after 20 drafts. ;)
Will Vex be the final book of the series? Please say no!! I love your writing you are one of my favorite authors. Keep up the wonderful writing!!

Every time one of your books comes out I run around the house bouncing with excitement and my family just doesn't get it, then I hold up in my room and devour the book in one sitting. I just CANT stand to put it down till I know I've read all there is to read. Seriously can't wait for your next book!! Thank goodness it's almost November!!
Tessa, You are so sweet! Thank you for reading my books, and I'm so glad you're enjoying the series! Vex will not be the last book, the series still has a book or two or three or ten to go. I'm letting it run its course. The resolution of the faction war and what happens to Skyla, Gage, and Logan will be revealed sooner than later, but I have plans to keep the series going. At least that's what my brain tells me today. ;) Right now I'm polishing VEX so it sparkles come November. I really hope you'll enjoy it. Also there are the Tuesday teasers of VEX on my FB page that I plan on continuing until it comes out. I hope you're enjoying those as well!! =)

Jenn, I think of my big news everyday *weeps* But I can't share. I'm hoping everything goes through as planned and I get to share SOON, but if it doesn't, and the big news decides to disappear, I'll probably share what almost was. LOL! Hopefully it's the former.
I just checked and you can now add writing buddies on Nano! It's about time!
Logan, Oh good! Now I just need to figure out how to add buddies. Off to do so. =)

This is my first NaNoWriMo, so I'm not sure how the whole buddy thing works, but hopefully I can figure it out by Tuesday.
Also, do we have to add our whole novel as we go along, or can we just leave bits and pieces? I only ask because you have done this before.
Amber J. - YAY NaNo!!!! I think. As far as words go, I think if I remember you just input your total whenever you feel like updating, then at the end you can upload your file for them to verify. You are also allowed to scramble your doc before inputting it into their system in the event you fear they will read it. I always scramble. There's a way to convert your file into gibberish. I'll try and look it up for you if you're interested. Unless of course they've changed things this year, lol. But I doubt they have.
And speaking of change... my big news is a comin'!!!! Hopefully this week or next!!! Be warned! =)

Amber Avery, I finally figured it out. You go to search and type in their NaNo name, which can be tricky because some people use different names for NaNo.
The best part of NaNo is that it's really just an exercise to get your brain in word producing mode. You can write almost anything in a first draft. :) Go Amber!

This was one busy Halloween, so I was able to push NaNoWriMo to the back of my mind all day, but it's past midnight now here in NYC so I guess here we go!
Hopefully I'll have my first 50,000 words and a copy of VEX waiting for me in my Kindle app by the end of November :)
And the build up to this "big news" has been intense lol, but I assume that must mean it's bigger and better than I originally thought. I knew Celestra series was too awesome to stay e-bound :)
Amber J. - I hope you're writing, girl! VEX is in the shop (editor), so I can cheat on it and pen a new WIP for NaNo.
And yes, the news crawls closer and closer... I can hardly breathe from the excitement of it all. I'm crossing my fingers for this week!!!

Logan, Wow! You are rocking the keyboard!!! That is awesome!! I'm taking a NaNo break to surf the net, and I'm barely at 1K! I'm a wimp.
The most words I've ever written in a day is an ungodly number that I hardly believe. In fact I've never even come close to this number since then. It was around 16K. I remember thinking I would never write a single word after that from the trauma of it all. Do not attempt this feat at home, lol. Word counts like that are what zombie's are made of.
Don't forget to input your daily total at the NaNo site! Have fun #amwriting! =)

Okay Addison...so when I got to the end of WICKED I was so thrown that I went back and re-read the entire series...my poor kids think I went into protective custody bc they haven't seen me! I kept looking to see if I missed any subtle clues.... Poor Skyla...can she trust anyone? Plz release Vex soon.... I can't even pick up another book until I get some answers!

I just finished watching my newest favorite show called "The Secret Circle". It makes me think about the Celestra series because there's an actor on it named Chris Zylka that would be the perfect Logan, but I digress lol.
"The Vampire Diaries", another popular show comes on just before it, and I discovered today that both shows were both originally...book series...in YA paranormal genre.
And then a light bulb went off lol. So is it ok to ask if the big news has something in common with the information I have just mentioned?

Okay Addison, I've been checking in on your guys but haven't posted anything until now and you will understand in a minute what has driven me out again.
First like to say that I hope the writing is going really well for you, Logan and Amber! Wish I could say my studying has been going as well but have been in ever search of good books to read while waiting for Vex. Finally have one series that seems to be helping me pass the time but not study.
So here it is: I always check to see how you are doing and if by chance your news has been posted. So of course I caught the recent comments between you and Amber regarding your news, a t.v. series and then your response about that being epic. The word epic struck me ...I had heard that before in fact from you in regards to your news so I searched the comments & this is what I came up with, "Amy - *epic* HUGE ~aMaZiNg~ news to come... ;) I would do anything if I could share right now." So has me wondering now, could it be??? I would watch it too if I could find a way to stream it online in UK as it is hard to get some stuff over here in London. But never fear I am all for it and will find a way to watch it if it is true!
So still here, still waiting.....and sadly no news and no Vex but hope it arrives soon. And no pressure or anything but I hope the book following Vex is finished soon & going to editor cause you know all your crazy fans will be ready for it shortly following the release of Vex and of course what could be better than having it as an early Xmas gift. ;)

First, I'm so glad to hear your studies are going well! I wish you much success on your papers and exams. =)
Second, you are quite the detective! lol! I neither confirm nor deny anything. But I will say I'm just waiting for one piece of mail to arrive, and when it does I'll do a fresh blog post with an announcement of my big news as soon as possible.
As far as Celestra 6 before Christmas, I'm not sure about that, but January looks more promising. I might launch my new series around the same time, but that's still to be seen. I feel like I'm cheating on Celestra with it. I'll try to have a cover and title up for book 6 right after VEX launches. I'm pretty excited about that, covers and titles are always fun. =)

I was wondering, are we going to see a new VEX cover? I know you mentioned that the cover of VEX that you have now was just a temporary one, but I was wondering if you were going to end up keeping it.

Amber A - My NaNo novel is sputtering along. I barely have 1500 words and we're already into Day 6 :( It's like my mind is moving too fast and my fingers can't keep up. Not to mention I'm typing the whole thing on Word To Go on my Blackberry lol. I don't know how you authors do it.
And I am sooo taking credit for guessing the epic news first if I'm correct lol.
A Celestra TV series would be perfect for the CW (do all of you out west even have that network?) or maybe even MTV! *gasp*...but again, this is just me speculating. These are not the views of Addison Moore lol.
Logan, It's going to be tweaked, but I just spoke with my cover designer a.k.a my husband, and he informed me it might not be that big of a change. We shall play with it and see. At the same time I'm going to try and develop a cover for book 6! I'm really excited about that. =)
And, get that word count cracking! You're doing a great job in the writing cave!
